Girl in Red Mourning

This image was taken at an environmental protest held by the Red Rebel Brigade in Bath. The Red Rebels are a peaceful activist group dedicated to illuminating the global climate crisis. The girl in the picture was at the head of a mock Funeral for Nature led by TV presenter and environmentalist Chris Packham. I hope my image creates discussion and raises awareness of these issues. It was selected to be exhibited at the Portrait Photographer of the Year Exhibition 2024 at the Coningsby Gallery in London on 19th to 21st December 2024.

I hope to highlight the plight of the African White Backed Vulture, and raise awareness about the importance to the environment of these magnificent birds. Join me in appreciating their beauty and understanding the urgent need for conservation efforts to protect them from poachers and habitat loss.
